Tokyo Marathon
John Scott made the long trip to Japan for last Sunday’s Tokyo Marathon and was rewarded with another strong performance over the 26.2-mile distance. As ever, he paced it well crossing the line in a time of 2:48. It was John’s fourth of the World Marathon Majors completed in less than a year leaving Boston and New York remaining on his Six Star Journey.
Schools Cross Country
Good luck to all Longford athletes competing at the All-Ireland Schools Cross Country in Tallaght on Saturday. It is always one of the most keenly contested events in the Irish athletics calendar.
Senior Training
Weekly intervals continue every Tuesday from 7pm with the group meeting at the Athletics Centre. New members welcome. Days are getting longer and the road race season begins to gather pace.
