Indoor Relays
The indoor season concluded on Saturday last with the National Juvenile 4 x 200m relays in Athlone when four teams represented the club having qualified from Connacht. First up was the Under-13 quartet of Sinead Fitzsimons, Alisha Manning, Sinead Masterson and Sophia Carey running strongly for a time two seconds quicker than the Connachts. The U15 team of Aibhe Foley, Robin Og Murphy, Mia Kiernan and Emma Brennan combined well for a quick 1:59. Bea Casey, Katie Duignan, Aine Murray and Amy Jordan gave it their all for a strong team run in the U17 race. In the U12 race, good runs from Leah Waters, Isabella O’Farrell, Sophia Smith and Sarah Connolly produced a team time two seconds faster than their Connachts race. A great experience for all with a high standard of clubs on show from all over Ireland. Well done girls.
Schools Relays
The Co. Longford Primary Schools’ Relays will take place on Friday, April 29, on the pitch at Allen Park in Newtownforbes from 6.30pm. Races are 4 x 200m for children in second class and older.
Friday Athletics
This Friday, April 8, will be the final evening of athletics before the Easter break.

Upcoming Outdoor Track Competition
An expression of interest form will be emailed to parents of juvenile members soon regarding upcoming outdoor track competition. This will be for children born in or before 2013 which is the age group eligible to take part in club competition.
Weekly Training
Weekly athletics will continue during May and June.
If you are interested in helping with our club sessions, please let a coach know of a Friday evening. There should be two adults with all groups at each session and often this is not the case. All help much appreciated.
New Facility
Completion works are continuing at the club’s new indoor centre at St. Mel’s College with it’s opening to be this coming September. Many thanks to all involved.
