Medal Success at National Indoors
Andrew Fitzpatrick leaped to gold medal success at the National Juvenile Indoor Championships in Athlone last Saturday with a brilliant performance in the High Jump. Melview NS fourth class pupil Andrew, competing in the Under-12 age category, took the win after jumping clear at 1.43 metres which was eight centimeters higher than the next placed athlete.
National 10k
Ross Gannon and Patryk Prusak participated in the 53rd Dunboyne 10k road race which also incorporated the National Championships over this distance. Both men performed admirably completing personal bests resulting in both placing within the top 60 in their age category.
