Cross Country: Good luck to the 100 children from County Longford taking part this Saturday at the Primary School’s finals in Co. Sligo. The first race starts at 12 noon. Club coaches will be present to hand out race numbers/safety pins. Connacht Even Ages takes place in Ballina on 31 October. Entries to be submitted on 21 October. Entries for the Uneven Ages in Galway on 7 November to be submitted by 28 October.
Friday Athletics: This Friday, 22 October, is the final evening of athletics before the mid-term break. Cross-country training will take place on Sunday at 10am. Athletics training will then resume on Friday 5 November.
Fun and non-competitive weekly athletics for children and young people with additional needs will begin on Friday, 29 October. Sympathy: The club extends its condolences to the family of Sean Dooner, Ballyhaunis. Originally from Kenagh, Sean was a member of Longford AC completing half marathons when into his 80s and was always great company when meeting him at road races. May he Rest in Peace.
