Primary Schools Relays
The Co. Longford Primary Schools Relays take place on Friday 29 April at Clonguish GAA, Allen Park, Newtownforbes. Races are 4 x 200m for children in second class and older. The first race is off at 6.30pm with registration opening at 5.45pm. Schools are to have their relay teams selected in advance of the evening. There will be subs races for children not on a team as well as relay races for schools with 3 or less teachers. Information and the registration sheet have been sent to the schools and are on our website.
Results
Plenty of good times were recorded by club members, both juvenile and senior, at the Noel McManus Run in Mohill on Good Friday. Emma Brennan, Ciarán Madden, Anne Brady and John Scott were among the podium place finishers. John wasn’t finished with his weekend racing as on Easter Monday he finished second at the Carney Half Marathon in Sligo. Showing no fatigue, his time of 1:24 was even quicker than Friday’s effort. Well done all.
