All Ireland Cross Country Championship
A big day for the club this Sunday as 22 of our juvenile athletes will run at the All Ireland Cross Country Championships in Dublin. Never has the club previously had so many members taking part at a National Championships and it will be a great experience. Good Luck to all.
Results
Ciaran Madden ran strongly to go under 17 minutes and take the win at the Clane 5km on Saturday.
It was 42.2km for John Scott and Seamus Murtagh at the Marathon Mind in Mullingar as the lads paced it well to record good finish times.
Also on Saturday, Cian McPhillips ran a 2-mile leg for UCD at the University Road Relays in Maynooth as the College claimed team gold in both the men’s and women’s race for the first time in 31 years.
Juvenile Training
Athletics continues this Friday at the Mall with our 6.30 and 7.30 groups. Paddy’s sprints group, which usually meet on Sundays, will this week train on Friday at 7.30 instead.
