Cian McPhillips competing at National Indoor Arena

Results Roundup: Nelvin Appiah kicked off the indoor season at the Baseline event in AIT on December 11th. He came 5th in the 60m in a time of 7.22 and followed that up with a time of 17.10 in the rarely run 150m. At the NIA Live event in Abbotstown on December 17th, Sarah McPhillips was first in the girls U16 60m in 8.43 and later finished third in the U16 200m. Cian McPhillips finished first in the men’s 1000m in a superb 2:24.13. This is the fastest indoor 1000m by any Irish athlete in 2019 and places Cian in tenth place in the all-time senior Irish rankings. Well done to all three on such strong runs to open the indoor season.
