Super Performance by Boys Under 12 Cross Country Relay Team

 Congratulations and well done to the County Longford Boys Under 12 Relay Cross Country team who had an excellent competition performance at the National Community Games Finals held recently in Athlone Institute of Technology.  On Saturday, the team ran a superb race in the national semi finals to qualify in third place and therefore qualify for the national final.  All four running team members put in an outstanding race to get into the final.  The final was on Sunday in glorious weather conditions and again the team ran really well and finished just outside the medals and no doubt are looking forward to next year.  Four of the team are juvenile members of the club and the recent training they have put in certainly helped.  Both the club and country are proud of your achievements.
