What a wonderful turnout on Friday from club members for the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Longford. Thankfully the rain held off. All the boys and girls really had a great time. Thank you to all who walked, especially coaches and parents.
And just to add that the judges really liked our entry – so much so that we won Best Club/Association Float… so well done everybody.
Some of our young aspiring javelin throwers took advantage of the space and got super distances as Main Street and Ballymahon Street became our track infield during the parade!
Our club mascot, Foxy, made a welcome return and wowed the crowds with push-ups aplenty and a blistering turn of pace!
Finally a big thank you to the Longford Chamber for once again organising such a great event.
