Club members were among the entry for the National 10-mile road Championships in the Phoenix Park on Sunday. A wet morning in the capital but strong runs recorded with a team silver medal secured. The M35+ trio of Donal Mulligan, Colin Beades and Barry Sheil combined to place second of the 23 teams while Barry finished third M40 to bag an individual bronze medal. Excellent runs also by Ross Gannon, Michael O’Hara and Charlie Barone as again great to see the blue singlet out in force.
On Wednesday evening, Fiona Gettings took the honours as first lady across the line at the Kinnegad 5k with Colleen Norris also running strongly for a fast time.
