26 years on from their last Community Games appearance, John Campbell and Barry Sheil were back on a start line together for Sunday’s Madison 10k/Half Marathon. John rolled back the years with a strong run in the 10k while Barry placed fourth over the 21.1k distance in the Wisconsin capital.
In California, Yemi Talabi and her UTA teammates clocked 44.03 seconds for the 4 x 100m relay at the NCAA Regional Championships. An excellent time but unfortunately just outside the qualifying spots for June’s Nationals.
Juraj Karcak made the trip to Romania where he covered 100km at the Transylvania 100 which included over 7000m elevation gain.
Back home, Adrianna Mulligan was back racing strongly to be first lady in the 10k at the Colm Horkan Memorial Run in Mayo on Sunday with Declan Newman fourth in the men’s race. Donal Mulligan placed third in the half marathon with a top-ten finish also for Colin Beades.
