The tireless John Scott was back in racing action this time at the Waterford Half Marathon. Headwinds and hills provided challenges, but John delivered another strong run in 1:21. Also on Sunday, Anne Newman and Thelma Garvey laced up their running shoes for the Derravaragh 5 mile in Multyfarnham and both enjoyed good runs.
Sinead Nolan, Sean Crossan, Michael O’Hara, Enda Coffey, Seamus Murtagh, Maureen Fallon and Jacqueline Mahon were among the large numbers taking part at the Midlands Aquathon Series in Lanesborough last Wednesday. Edel Nolan completed the 85k Tour of the Lakes cycle on Sunday.
