John Scott had a strong run at the Athlone 10 mile on Saturday with a time of 61:56 for a top 10 position.
Jacqueline Mahon pushed the distance further the same day when taking on the River Moy Half Marathon in Ballina in hot conditions.
The club was well represented at Sunday’s Corn Hill Challenge. Julie Taitt and Daniel Higgins were first finishers in the 5k with Alex Graham, Teresa Blake and Carol O’Brien each doing well too. In the 10k, Tara Gately and Mervyn Graham crossed the finish line just a second apart with Tara earning second lady finisher. At 10 miles, Adrian Wróbel conquered the heat and hills to claim second. Anne Brady followed with a solid run, as third lady finisher, while Enda Coffey and Michael O’Hara each took age category prizes.
