It was a busy weekend at TUS Athlone with the indoor track hosting Saturday’s Masters Championships followed by the Juniors (Under-20) on Sunday.
Fiona Gettings enjoyed Masters double gold medal success claiming age category victories in both the 800m and 1500m. Ashley Ryan topped the podium too winning gold in her age category for the 1500m. Excellent performances by the two ladies.
Aibhe Foley and Holly Rogers clocked good times in the Junior 60m with Aibhe also running well in the 200m. Unfortunately, Robin Og Murphy had to pull out of the Junior 3000m Walk mid-race.
