Congratulations to Fiona Gettings, Emma Brennan, John Fitzpatrick Jr and Aine Murray who were among the recipients of awards on Friday night at the Longford Sports Star Awards.
At the event, Fiona was named the Overall Longford Sports Star of the Year for 2023. Congrats Fiona!
A very worthy and popular winner, a delighted Fiona was accompanied by husband Micheal and their three children.
Emma received the Junior Sportsperson award with John and Aine among the ten individual award winners. Well done to all recipients.
It’s fantastic to see the achievements of local athletes being recognised and it is the second successive time an athlete has been the overall sports star winner with Cian McPhillips receiving the accolade last year.
