There were excellent performances by Co. Longford athletes on Saturday at the Community Games Mixed Distance Relays National finals in Gormanston Park, Co. Meath.
The U12 boys team were superb in winning silver medals, narrowly missing out on gold, following great runs with the panel of John & Andrew Fitzpatrick, Dylan Reynolds, El’Nathan Okoh and Adam Mulleady.
A brilliant fourth place team finish secured medals for the U12 girls team of Sophia Smith, Zoe Mulligan, Jessica Neary and Holly & Georgia Brady.
Strong runs also by the U14 girls team of Leah Waters, Darcey Brady, Alisha Manning and Sophia Carey in placing sixth.
