On Saturday the Indoor Centre played host to the Athletics Ireland Level 1 Coaching Course with a number of club coaches taking part as well as coaches from clubs around the region. Our thanks to Mary Barrett, Loughrea AC, who led the session so well and to RDO Bashir Hussein. The course continues next weekend.
Aisling Lane, a sixth-year student at Mercy Ballymahon, was one of the attendees and was presented by Mary with the Outstanding Female Track & Field Athlete trophy for her performances at Connacht Schools events during 2022/23. Congrats to Aisling, who also won the award last year, and Aisling is a coach with Mullingar Harriers.
