Cian Mc Phillips representing Ardagh National Schools delivered at top class championship winning performance at the Connaught Primary Schools Cross Country Championships in the 3rd/4thclass boys race and left everyone at the course saying “WOW”. There were very difficult underfoot conditions due to the recent wet weather but Cian made light work of this controlling the race from start to finish on the difficult cross country course at Calry, Sligo. Cian ran the perfect race from start to finish and can be proud of his championship winning performance and continues his excellent form from the national community games finals race. No doubt we will hear more about Cian in this season and the years ahead.
County Longford had a large number of athletes competing on the day and everyone who ran can be proud of their achievements, well done all.
