Ardagh / Glen / Moydow Community Games 5K Fun Run and 16 K Challenge run

The community games area of Ardagh / Glen / Moydow  ran a very successful 5K Fun Run and 16 K Challenge run in Ardagh on Saturday 29th December.  The weather was cool and dry and made for a excellent days competition.  57 competitors completed the 16K challenge with the following results.  First male home was Wayne Reid in 57 minutes and 36 seconds on a challenging course, second home was Richard Gorman and third was Maurice Looby.  First female was Sinead Phelan in a time of 69 minutes and 41 seconds, second was Ciara Gibney and third was Fiona Shannon.  The 5K fun run had a field of 113 entrants which was a fantastic number.  First male was Jason Donegan, second was Padraig Corcoran and third was Tom Donnelly.  First lady home was Lorna Moody, second was Aisling Moody and third was Julie Ledwith.
