4 Counties Track & Field Match – Laois, Longford, Westmeath and Offaly Fri May 23, 2014, held at Tullamore Harriers
Despite the rainy evening Longford AC had a fantastic turn out at the Inter-County Match last Friday evening at the Tullamore Harriers track. The Club was very well represented by 42 Juvenile athletes ranging from U9-U14. A warm welcome to our newest members, competing and wearing their Longford AC singlet for the very first time: Daithi Prendergast, Sian Gallagher, Emma Farrell, Alyssa Galligan, Conor & Robert Smith, Ola Talabi, Caoimhe Crossan, Ross Shields, Killian Derwin, Rachel Kelly, Benedict Murphy, Laura Farrell, Rachel Briody, Patrick Crossan, Melissa O’Kane and Rory Farago. It was an excellent opportunity for the children to put their training to the test and to try out a range of events in a competitive match. The evening was great practice for all the athletes who are planning to compete in the upcoming Connaught Outdoor Championships in Sligo in June.
